Peter Sergakis, the president of the Union of Quebec Bar Owners Association, says bar revenue is down nearly 30 per cent.
Frustrated fans are steering clear of bars and businesses, with a 50 per cent drop in customers during the months of January and February.
However, Sergakis says the decline in sales is due to a combination of the struggling Canadiens and a sluggish economy.
