Man turns himself in to police in connection with hit and run in Saint-Henri

A 37-year-old man turned himself in to police Tuesday afternoon in connection with a hit and run in Montreal's Saint-Henri district that left a man with a head injury.

A 37-year-old man turned himself in to police Tuesday afternoon in connection with a hit and run in Montreal's Saint-Henri district.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. at the corner of St-Jacques Street West and Laporte Avenue. A small white delivery truck hit a man as he was getting into his car. 

The truck was found abandoned a few blocks away.

A man believed to be the driver of the truck was arrested and released on the promise to appear in court at a later date. Montreal police say he will likely be charged with hit and run causing bodily harm.

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a serious head injury. He remains in hospital in stable condition.
