Man, 51, stabbed in Montreal's metro
Montreal police are searching for a man in his 20s after a 51-year-old man was stabbed in the city's metro Thursday evening.
Police said the victim was stabbed in his upper body around 6 p.m. while riding the Angrignon-Honoré-Beaugrand train eastbound as it pulled into McGill station.
The suspect fled the scene when the train stopped at McGill, while the victim made his way onto the platform to wait for police.
The victim remains in critical but stable condition, Const. Raphael Bergeron said.
Police are looking at surveillance video and speaking with witnesses who saw the attack.
Police suspect robbery was the motive, Bergeron said.
The suspect is described as white and five foot seven. He was wearing sunglasses, a hat and dark jacket and pants at the time of the attack, police said.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Montreal police at 514-393-1133.
