Adam Cohen recalls his father's 'unique blend of self-deprecation and dignity'
Adam Cohen has issued a message of thanks following the outpouring of support over his father's death.
"Thank you for your kind messages, for the outpouring of sympathy and for your love of my father," he wrote on Facebook.
In the message, Adam Cohen also fondly remembered his father for his "unique blend of self-deprecation and dignity, his approachable elegance, his charisma without audacity, his old-world gentlemanliness and the hand-forged tower of his work."
"There's so much I wish I could thank him for, just one last time," he said.
Cohen died at his home in Los Angeles on Monday and was buried in a family plot in his hometown of Montreal on Thursday.
The Westmount, Que.-born singer, songwriter, poet and novelist, whose fan base stretched around the world, was 82.
