The suspect in a string of sexual assaults at Laval University has been released on bail pending his trial.
Thierno-Oury Barry, a 19-year-old student at the university, was arrested and charged last month on several counts of breaking and entering as well as sexual assault.
The charges came after Quebec City police received at least 15 complaints from students at the university, who said a man had come into their rooms at a student residence during the night of Oct. 14.
The incident prompted an outcry at the university, and contributed to protests calling for an end to rape culture on Quebec campuses.
