For the seventh time this summer, the Lachine Canal has been closed to nautical activities due to sewage run-off.

The heavy rain on Monday caused an overflow in the municipal sewer system, and potentially contaminated water that entered the canal, Parks Canada has warned.

The canal is off limits to kayakers, canoeists and other small-boat operators for 72 hours, or at least until Thursday night.
