Highway 20, Hochelaga Street reopen after heavy rain causes flooding
Highway 20 was closed westbound near the Angrignon exit and underpass due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall

Highway 20 was closed Tuesday night near the Angrignon exit and underpass due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall, but it has since reopened.
Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Marie-Pier Lorrain said the highway closed in the westbound direction at 7:30 p.m., leaving only one eastbound lane open.
Lorrain said the water reached the height of a car tire. Three vehicles were stuck in the westbound lanes, and one was stuck in the eastbound lane. The vehicles were towed out.
Police say no one was in danger.

Montreal police also had to close Hochelaga Street for about two hours between L'Assomption Boulevard and Bennett Avenue due to flooding. The street was closed from 5 p.m. to about 7:30 p.m.
One car was stuck under an overpass, but was able to get out once the water levels came down.
There was also some water accumulation in the boroughs of Saint-Léonard and Saint-Laurent, but nothing major, police say.
