The game hadn't even started yet, but the cheering from Habs fans donning their red jerseys at the Bell Centre was deafening. They were ready for Habs' lucky charm Ginette Reno to belt out O Canada.

The first goal of the series was scored by Canadiens player Andrei Markov. The problem was, it was in his own net.

Fans took advantage of the intermission to calm their nerves, and make a game plan on how to get past Ottawa goaltender Andrew Hammond — a.k.a. "the Hamburglar."

It wasn't long before the scoring kicked off for the Habs in a big way: two goals in 15 seconds.

Fans got riled up in the second period when Habs defenceman P.K. Subban was ejected from the game for slashing Senators rookie Mark Stone.

The goals kept coming on both sides, though fans questioned whether the referees were playing fair.

The Habs win it 4-3, with fans quick to point out the team eked out a victory even without star players Max Pacioretty and P.K. Subban.
