Quebec artist Gabriella impresses judges on France's version of The Voice, with a performance that's been viewed 4.6 million times.

A young Quebec artist is attracting international attention for her performance on a singing-competition reality show in France. 

Gabriella's rendition of Coldplay's song The Scientist, has been viewed online more than 4.6 million times. It also moved judges on The Voice: la plus belle voix to their feet.

The sudden fame didn't come overnight to Gabriella Laberge, who uses her first name only on stage.  

She began studying violin at the age of six and has spent years learning the guitar and taking voice lessons. She also writes her own songs and says she struggled to learn English four years ago.

She sat down with CBC Montreal for her first English interview since her performance.
