Speed, alcohol likely factors in St-Colomban crash
A passenger died after a driver lost control of his vehicle in the town of St-Colomban, just north of Mirabel.
The crumpled car ended up in a private driveway on a quiet residential street.
Police said speed and alcohol may have contributed to the incident.
Mirabel police witnessed the crash.
Because the municipal force may have played a role, the Quebec provincial police force has been called in to do an independent investigation of what happened.
Traffic disrupted on Highway 15 north
In Montreal, six people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after an early morning accident on Highway 15, near the La Vérendrye Boulevard exit.
