The owner of Espace Mushagalusa on Ontario Street East put the video online and is asking the public to help identify the vandals.

In the video, three men are seen walking past the gallery on May 7, around 1 a.m. One of them stops, pulls out a black marker, and writes what appears to be "F--K YOU" followed by the N-word. The other two men observe and smile.

A spokesman for Montreal police said they are aware and have launched a criminal investigation.

According to gallery owner Guy Mushagalusa Chigoho, this was the second act of vandalism in a week. On April 29, a street window was smashed.

The gallery is where Dieudonné M'bala M'bala, the controversial French comedian who routinely makes jokes about gas chambers and has publicly denied the Holocaust, is scheduled to perform later this week.
