It's going to be a disastrous drive for a third consecutive weekend for motorists who rely on the Décarie Expressway.

Several closures and detours are planned so that work to dismantle the St-Jacques overpass can be carried out, according to Transports Québec.

Décarie Expressway — 15 South

The closures kick off at 10 p.m. Friday and last until 5 a.m. Monday. Some entrances to the 15 South will close as early at 8:30 p.m Friday.

The following will be off-limits:

  • Complete closure of Highway 15 South between the Sherbrooke exit to the Turcot Interchange.
  • Two of three lanes will be closed between Highway 40 and the Sherbrooke exit.
  • The Royalmount, Jean-Talon, Côte-St-Luc and Girouard entrances will be closed.
  • Complete closure of the Highway 15 and Champlain Bridge exit from Highway 40 West.

Turcot Interchange

  • Complete closures of the Highway 15, 20 and 720 ramps from the Décarie Expressway southbound.
  • Closure of 720 West access ramp to Highway 15 North.

The second phase to dismantle the St-Jacques overpass is expected to take place in the fall.
