A labour dispute between CN Rail and the Unifor union won't affect service on the AMT's Deux-Montagnes train line, says Federal Labour Minister Kellie Leitch.
There was concern a work stoppage of CN's 4,800 workers would halt service on the commuter train line.
But in a statement released Sunday, Leitch said both sides have promised that commuter rail service in Montreal will continue as usual.
Talks continued Monday between CN and Unifor under the company's threat of a lockout.
A separate CP Rail strike last week led to a stoppage on the Vaudreuil-Hudson, St-Jérôme and Candiac lines.
