A 23-year-old woman was killed in a collision Thursday night in the Saguenay region.
The collision happened at around 5:30 p.m. New Year's Eve on l'Université Boulevard in Chicoutimi, located about 450 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Witnesses say the woman's car deviated from her lane and into oncoming traffic.
Two others were taken to hospital with injuries to the head and upper body.
It's not the first fatal accident to occur on this stretch of road.
In 2002, a coroner recommended installing signals to tell drivers to slow down in case of bad weather, after two people were killed in a crash.
