Chapters in Montreal to be replaced by Victoria's Secret
2nd largest Victoria's Secret moves into former bookstore at Ste-Catherine and Stanley streets
The Chapters bookstore in the heart of downtown Montreal will soon shutter its doors, swapping books for bras as Victoria's Secret prepares to move in.
The bookstore at the corner of Ste-Catherine and Stanley streets is slated to close this fall and will be replaced by the second-largest Victoria's Secret store in the world.
Chapters will consolidate its downtown Montreal operations at the Indigo location just a few blocks away.
The 35,000-square-foot store will house the popular lingerie retailer's first Montreal location.
Victoria's Secret first came to Quebec in 2012 when it opened a store in Carrefour Laval.
The store's new location will be directly across the street from a La Senza lingerie store.
Both companies are owned by the American-based L Brands.
