A Rougemont, Que., man with terminal cancer had a dream come true in the form of a serenade from mega-star Céline Dion at her new Las Vegas show.

Michel Marceau,67, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2014 on the first day of his retirement.

One of his bucket-list items was to see Dion perform, and so Marceau and his family headed to Vegas with that goal in mind. Little did he know, his loved ones had been in touch with the singer's entourage in advance of the trip.

On Saturday night, as they were sitting in the theatre at Caesars Palace watching the show, Dion approached Marceau in the audience and sang a song directly to him.

Dion's family has been going through its own struggle with cancer.

Her husband, Rene Angélil, 73, is being cared for at the home they share in Las Vegas. He was diagnosed with throat cancer for a second time in 2013.

Dion took a break from her Vegas show to care for him, but returned to the stage in August.
