Bloc Québécois apologizes for using Pennsylvania farm in agriculture ad
Sovereigntist party claims to fight for interests of Quebec farmers
The Bloc Québécois has apologized after mistakenly using an image of a Pennsylvania farm in a social media post meant to show its commitment to defending the province's agriculture interests.

The ad features an agricultural landscape and the slogan, "Nous bataillons ferme pour les agriculteurs," a play on words meant to demonstrate the sovereigntist party will fight for the interests of Quebec farmers.
But a reverse image search in the TinEye search engine shows that the photo, used about 100 times since 2008, was taken in Pennsylvania.
The party apologized for the error Monday on its Facebook page and posted a new ad featuring a Quebec farm.
"Our apologies, the previous image was of a farm in Pennsylvania!" the message said.
"Here's one from Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans! It's good to see that so many of you follow us on social media!"
