Montreal's Bonaventure Expressway comes down
Duke Street, Nazareth Street only options around demolition work
The final phase of the demolition of the Bonaventure Expressway gets underway today, which means another round of detours for commuters.
The elevated span between de la Commune Street and Notre-Dame Street is being demolished.
Traffic coming from Montreal's South Shore will have to take Duke Street.
South Shore-bound traffic will have to take Nazareth Street to access the Champlain Bridge.

The expressway is being destroyed to make way for an urban renewal project that will add a significant amount of greenspace to the area.
The $140-million Bonaventure project is due to be completed by September 2017.
