Montreal police investigating suspicious death of man in Plateau-Mont-Royal borough

The 38-year-old was found lying on the grass at the corner of Parc Avenue and Prince Arthur Street in the Milton Park neighbourhood around 8 a.m. 

This is the 2nd death in the Milton Park neighbourhood in less than a week

Montreal police are investigating the suspicious death of a man in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough Saturday morning.  

The 38-year-old was found lying on the grass at the corner of Parc Avenue and Prince Arthur Street in the Milton Park neighbourhood around 8 a.m., police say. 

He had injuries to his upper body. 

Emergency services tried to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators cannot yet say whether the death is criminal or accidental in nature. 

This is the second death in the Milton Park neighbourhood in less than a week. 

On Monday, the body of a man in his 40s was found in a makeshift shelter in an alley on Léo-Pariseau Street, near Jeanne-Mance Street. The man had apparently been living on the street.
