Before and After: Dialogue with History demolished in Quebec City

French sculptor Jean-Pierre Raynaud's work Dialogue with History was a gift to Quebec City from the one-time president of France and mayor of Paris, Jacques Chirac, in 1987. Nearly 30 years later, it was torn down for safety reasons.
