A problem of overcrowding has forced officials at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire to ask people to avoid its emergency room until Tuesday night, hospital officials said.
The emergency would remain open but would have to "prioritize people with a critical health condition," the West Island Health and Social Services Centre said in a statement.
Patients are being advised to turn instead to one of the West Island's network clinics.
They include:
- Statcare Clinic: 175, Stillview Avenue, Pointe-Claire (514) 694-9282
- Medistat Medical Clinic: 4965, St. Pierre Street, Pierrefonds (514) 624-4774
- Brunswick Medical Centre: 143, Place Frontenac, Pointe-Claire (514) 426-6677
Patients can also contact the province's Info-Sante service by calling 8-1-1, officials said.
