It’s unclear if the AMT lines will be running tomorrow during morning rush hour.

It’s unclear if the AMT commuter-train lines will be running in time for Tuesday morning's rush hour.

The 19,000 Montreal commuters who use the Vaudreuil-Hudson, St-Jérôme and Candiac lines may have to find an alternate way to commute into the city for the second day in a row.

Even though CP workers area heading back to work after the two sides agreed to mediated arbitration, a spokesperson for the AMT says the union and CP need to negotiate back to work protocol, and it’s not clear how long that will take.

However, Federal Labour Minister Kellie Leitch said she wants to see trains running as soon as possible.

"It is my number one priority, with respect to getting people back to work. Our intention is to get service back to 100 per cent by tomorrow morning."

The AMT has made an extra 60 shuttle buses available in the event the trains aren't running tomorrow morning.
