Winnipegger Corey Gallagher ran and drank his way to the Beer Mile World Championship in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday night, edging out New York's Michael Cunningham.
The competition requires people to run a mile and drink four beers.
Gallagher's time of five minutes was just shy of setting a new world record.
