Winnipegger accidentally hands out wedding ring with candy on Halloween
Lorne Wolfe and his wife of 31 years hope parents search kids' candy for missing band
An Island Lakes couple is desperately seeking a wedding band that they believe slipped off into a bag of Halloween candy on Saturday night.
Lorne Wolfe realized the ring went missing sometime between 7 and 7:30 p.m. He recently lost weight and he thought his ring was too loose, but he didn't take it off, he said.
"I should have taken it off; I didn't. I always postpone things," he said.
"I feel really bad because he feels so bad," said Barb Wolfe. "We've worn them for 31 years and all of a sudden it's gone."
The couple hope someone will come forward with the missing ring. Only about 40 children visited the home on Peres Oblats Drive for Halloween, said Barb.
"I'm pretty optimistic," she said. "We've got our fingers crossed."
Anyone who finds the ring is asked to contact the couple's daughter Chelsea Gauthier on Facebook.
