The Royal Winnipeg Ballet opened its doors to host national dance event
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet was busting at the seams as students from across Winnipeg gathered to bust a move. The event, called Sharing Dance, was quickly moved indoors because of the rain.
Dancers—all 350 of them— strutted their stuff in cramped quarters and even managed to perform a choreographed flash mob dance. More than 2000 dancers in 11 cities across Canada performed the dance today.
The event was open to anyone and ten schools took part. The students warmed up to perform the big event with Hip Hop and Salsa routines. Jully Black's, Sweat of Your Brow provided the soundtrack to the choreographed routine.
This is the second year that RWB hosted Sharing Dance day.
