One man is behind bars and two other people were arrested following a drug bust by the Winnipeg Police Service.

The investigation started in July, when investigators learned of possible drug trafficking at a home in the first 100 block of Winnipeg's Riverside Drive, and obtained a search warrant.

On Wednesday, officers searched the home and arrested two men, 37 and 54, and a 38-year-old woman when they found a variety of drugs, including some that were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Smithfield Avenue.

Investigators also found methamphetamine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and mushrooms in the home.

All three people were charged with theft under $5,000 and numerous counts of possession of a scheduled substance. The 37-year-old man was also charged with failure to comply with a probation order, and remains in custody.
