Winnipeg Jets captain Andrew Ladd and centre Mark Scheifele visit students at Bairdmore School as part of I Love to Read Month.

Children at 14 schools across Winnipeg were treated to visits from members of the Winnipeg Jets on Monday as part of I Love to Read Month.

The players brought along copies of The Home Team, the Jets' official children's storybook, and signed autographs for students from kindergarten to Grade 8.

The classrooms that were chosen for a Jets visit also received an autographed replica jersey from a visiting player, Jets player bookmarks and an autographed book for each student and each classroom involved.

Jets captain Andrew Ladd and centre Mark Scheifele visited students at Bairdmore School on Monday afternoon, while forwards Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler went to Amber Trails Community School.
