While many in Winnipeg are enjoying unseasonably mild weather this week, it has presented major challenges to some local businesses, the CBC's Gosia Sawicka reports.
It hasn't been so wintry in "Winter-peg" so far this season, with temperatures peaking above 0 C at times this week.
Normal temperatures for this time of year are around –13 C during the day and –23 C at night, according to Environment Canada. But forecasters are predicting a balmy daytime high of 7 C in Winnipeg on Thursday.
The old record for Jan. 5 is 4.3 C, set in 1984.
