Liam, Olivia top baby names in Manitoba for 2016

If you had a little girl named Olivia or a boy named Liam, you aren't the only one in Manitoba. They round out the top names for 2016.

Liam takes the top boys' moniker for the second year in a row with 94 babies taking the name shared by Irish actor Liam Neeson and the youngest Hemsworth brother.

Olivia was the second most popular name for girls in 2015, but the name, shared by television cop Olivia Benson, grabbed the honour this year. Olivia just passed last year's most popular name, Emma, with 103 babies taking the name.

The Province of Manitoba said there were 7,705 baby girls and 7,928 boys born in 2016.
