The late-summer heat is on in southern Manitoba
It's all about the heat this week in Manitoba with temperatures reaching up to 34 C in some places by mid-week.
But we aren't free of rain entirely, said CBC meteorologist John Sauder. Eastern parts of southern Manitoba will see some showers Tuesday morning, but sunshine will return by the afternoon.
"We will be into the 30s for the next couple of days with Wednesday being the hottest day. I'm forecasting 32 C for Winnipeg and closer to 34 C for the southwest portion of the province — Melita, Killarney, Delloraine," said Sauder.
Winnipeg forecast for Tuesday
- Mainly sunny, 30 C.
- UV index 7 (high).
- Wind becomes south 20 km/h in a.m.
- TONIGHT clear.
- Wind becomes light after midnight.
- Low 18 C.
