Snow sculpture celebrates FIFA Women's World Cup and Grey Cup
A new snow sculpture outside the Manitoba Legislature looks ahead to two big sporting events that Winnipeg will host this year: the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and the Grey Cup final.
Premier Greg Selinger unveiled the sculpture on Tuesday morning with officials from the FIFA Women's World Cup, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the 103rd Grey Cup Festival.
He was also joined by the head of Festival du Voyageur, which has snow sculptures across the city. The annual festival begins Friday.

The Manitoba capital will host games featuring top women's soccer teams from the United States, Australia, Sweden and Nigeria this summer.
Then in the fall, Winnipeg will be the site of the CFL's Grey Cup final.
The Grey Cup Festival will start Nov. 25, 2015, with the big game on Sunday, Nov. 29 at Investors Group Field.
