One person was rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after a serious assault in Winnipeg's Elmwood neighbourhood.

One person was rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after a serious assault in Winnipeg's Elmwood neighbourhood.

Police were called to the intersection of Watt Street at Talbot Avenue just after 8 a.m.

The person, an adult, is listed in unstable condition. Police have not released any other details on the age or sex of the victim.

No arrests have been made, a police spokesperson said.

The southbound lanes of Watt are closed at Talbot as part of the investigation.
