Two young people face charges after an 18-year-old was pepper-sprayed and robbed at the University of Manitoba.

The young man was sitting on a park bench on Chancellors Circle on Tuesday before 8:45 p.m. when he was assaulted by two people with pepper spray, who then stole his personal items and ran off. 

Police found two suspects at a home on Pasadena Avenue between Grierson Avenue and Kings Drive. 

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy face charges of robbery and mischief. 

The 19-year-old was released on an undertaking. The 16-year-old was detained in custody.
