Pokemon players and characters are cropping up everywhere. Even a federal prison in Manitoba.

It prompted a bulletin to corrections staff at Stony Mountain Institution to make them aware of the game, officials told CBC News Friday.

There are concerns Pokemon Go may lead to trespassing because some of the prison's landmarks, including the water tower, may be identified in the game as a PokeStop — a place for players to pick up tools and accessories to catch Pokemon characters.

Some people were seen on the prison grounds recently who appeared to be playing Pokemon Go, officials said, and they want to remind players the correctional centre is private property and any unauthorized entry is trespassing.
