Woman arrested after man stabbed to death in Pine Creek First Nation

A 51-year-old man in Pine Creek First Nation died after he was stabbed on Thursday.

Police were called around 9:05 p.m. to a house in the community on the western shore of Lake Winnipegosis, about 320 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

When they arrived, they found the man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Officers arrested a 40-year-old woman at the scene. She remains in custody.

She has not officially been charged in connection with the man's death, a spokesperson for the RCMP said.
