An osteopathic therapist in the Osborne Village area has been arrested and is facing a charge of sexual assault on a 25-year-old patient.

The female patient went to police in April 2016 and reported several incidents occurred over a three-month period this year involving a 49-year-old osteopathic therapist.

The woman said she was touched inappropriately and sexually assaulted several times while receiving therapy.

The Sex Crimes Unit arrested the therapist on June 2. He's facing a charge of sexual assault and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
