Man, 28, dies after being found critically hurt at North End home

Winnipeg's homicide unit is investigating after a 28-year-old man was found with "multiple serious injuries" at a North End home and died in hospital.

Police were called to a duplex in the 500 block of Magnus Avenue, between Powers Street and Andrews Street, around 11:15 p.m. Monday.

The man was found in critical condition "suffering from multiple serious injuries" and rushed to hospital, police said. He later died from the injuries.

Numerous people are in police custody for questioning, police said.

Part of Magnus, which runs alongside William Whyte elementary school, remained blocked off early Monday. The identification unit is also on the scene.
