Neepawa hockey incident faces RCMP probe

An alleged hazing incident involving players from a Neepawa, Man., junior hockey team is now the subject of an RCMP investigation.

An alleged hazing incident involving players from a Neepawa, Man., junior hockey team is now the subject of an RCMP investigation.

Allegations of the incident first came to the attention of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League after a player with the Neepawa Natives team filed a complaint earlier this month.

An RCMP spokesperson told CBC News on Tuesday that officers from the Neepawa detachment are looking into the incident, but declined to comment further.

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League would not say if hazing was alleged in the player's complaint, but officials said last week that they have a zero-tolerance policy regarding hazing.
