N.B. man charged in father's homicide in Manitoba

The family of a Sussex, N.B., man who was killed in a Manitoba motel this week say they hold no malice towards the man's son, who has been charged with murder.
Dana Allison Craig, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his father, 63-year-old Terrance Craig.
The elder Craig was found dead inside a motel in the 800 block of Middleton Avenue in Brandon, a city in western Manitoba, on Wednesday night.Police in Brandon said the man had serious injuries to his upper body. A post-mortem on the victim's body was scheduled for Friday in Winnipeg
Officers have since determined that the father-and-son pair were both from New Brunswick and were travelling together at the time of the incident.
'He died for his son'
Family members in New Brunswick told CBC News that Dana Craig struggled with mental health issues, and his father had gone to Manitoba this week to bring him back home.
Dwayne Craig, the victim's brother, said he didn't know the details of what happened until he got the call from Terry's wife.
"She said she lost her son, and she lost her husband," he said in an interview Friday.
In his retirement, Terry Craig enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and his family. He and Dana were close, according to family members.
"He'd do anything for his kids. He died for his son," Dwayne Craig said.
Craig said the mental health care system failed his nephew, and the family wants a review to be done on why Dana was unable to get the support he needed.
"If your family is in crisis, and they're desperately seeking help and they have a number of people concerned, that there should be someplace you can go that gets them help," he said.
