An eastbound lane on McGillivray Boulevard in Winnipeg was closed Tuesday night after a minivan slammed into a pole.
Emergency crews were called to an area of McGillivray between Waverley Street and Kenaston Boulevard just after 10 p.m. A van veered off the road and ended up in a ditch after hitting a light standard.

It isn't clear whether there were any injuries, but CBC videographer Sara Calnek witnessed an ambulance leaving the scene.
Crews trying to repair the light standard were still in the area at 11 p.m.
