Five-year-old Winnipeg boy with neuroblastoma meets Hulk, Black Widow at Marvel show
A five-year-old Winnipeg boy with a rare form of childhood cancer got the chance to meet some of his heroes Thursday night.
Jacob Trudell got some one-on-one time with the Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and the Black Widow at a Marvel show at the MTS Centre.
The meeting came courtesy The Dream Factory, an organization that helps kids with life-threatening illnesses fulfill their wishes.
"He was diagnosed in October with Stage 3 advanced neuroblastoma, and we've just been working through a difficult treatment plan ever since," said his mom, Jennifer Trudell.
Trudell posed for photos with the Marvel heroes and even got to go on stage for a small role in the production.
"What he has going on in his body is the bad guy, and his strong spirit and positive perspective, you know, is the superhero, and it keeps him strong and moving forward," she said.
