Manitoba entrepreneurs brave Dragons' Den again
Two Manitoba brothers will face the dragons on Wednesday January 8. Lawrence and Chris Warwaruk dream of building a brewery on their farm near Neepawa.
They aim to sell their idea on CBC TV's Dragons' Den. Their pitch has to do with completing their dream to build a brewery on their farm.
The Warwaruk brothers are already making beer in partnership with an Ontario brewery but their dream is to grow the crops they need and also do the brewing on site.
This isn't the first time for the Warwaruk brothers on Dragon's Den. Last time, they pitched the idea of a gift card with a smart chip. "We weren't successful," said Lawrence. "I remember Kevin O'Leary telling us we were the best dressed guys with the worst idea."
No matter what happens, both Warwaruks will be glued to the TV, watching the outcome with their friends. So they're having a Dragon's Den party at their other business Luxalune Gastropub at 734 Osborne Street while the show airs.
One thing is certain - the Warwaruk brothers will do something related to beer. The morning after the show airs, they head to Los Angeles for the Golden Globes, where they will share samples of their `Farmery' beer.
Lawrence Warwaruk and his brother Chris will be on Dragons' Den Wednesday January 8 at 8 p.m. on CBC TV. Before then you can hear them on Information Radio with Marcy Markusa at 7:40 a.m. on CBC Radio One 89.3 FM/990 AM.
