Man stabbed in North Point Douglas
A 54-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Winnipeg's North Point Douglas neighbourhood.
A 54-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Winnipeg's North Point Douglas neighbourhood.
It happened near the intersection of Sutherland Avenue and Main Street at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Emergency crews arrived to find the man lying on the sidewalk.
He was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.
The investigation has revealed that a 38-year-old woman and a 55-year-old woman met the man then began socializing at a hotel on Main Street.
They then moved to another hotel in the area but at some point, the younger woman and the man began arguing. The dispute escalated into a physical fight which resulted in both women stabbing the man several times, police said.
The two women are in custody.
