Man shooting rifle from car window leads to drug arrest
Cocaine seized from home where shooting suspect was found
Reports of a man shooting a rifle out of a car window led RCMP in southwestern Manitoba to find a cache of drugs in a home last weekend.
RCMP say they got a call just before 10 a.m. on Saturday about someone shooting a rifle on Highway 354 south of Strathclair in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead.
No one was injured, and police located the suspect with two other people at a home just before noon.
Officers also found cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in the home, RCMP said Wednesday.
The 28-year-old male suspect, who is from Winnipeg, has been charged with careless use of a firearm along with numerous drug trafficking charges and breaches of court-imposed conditions.
A 26-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man face drug trafficking and possession-related charges.
