Man dies in Highway 3 crash between car and semi-trailer
A 27-year-old man has died in a crash between a car and a semi-trailer on Highway 3 between Oak Bluff and Sanford, Man.
RCMP are investigating a fatal crash between a semi-trailer and a car on Highway 3 between Oak Bluff and Sanford, Man.
Emergency crews were called to the highway shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday. They remain there as of 4:30 p.m.
A 26-year-old man who was alone in the red 2013 Jetta Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene, RCMP confirmed on Wednesday night.
Police say it appears that the Jetta, which was heading northbound on the two-lane divided highway, drifted into the southbound lane and collided with the semi.
The 58-year-old male driver of the Mack semi was not injured, according to police. A CBC photographer on the scene was told the driver had been taken to hospital in stable condition.
