Winnipeg police investigate after man allegedly films up-skirt video at Regent Avenue clothing store

Winnipeg police are looking for a man who used a phone to record video under a woman’s dress at a Regent Avenue store.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman was shopping at a clothing store in the 1500 block of Regent Avenue West when she noticed a man behind her trying to take photos of her.

When she confronted the man, he fled the store, police said.

Const. Jason Michalyshen said officers believe the man was filming up the woman's dress at one point.

“We have since reviewed some surveillance where he physically gets down on the floor to look up her dress,” said Michalyshen.

Now, officers are looking for a white man in his mid to late twenties described as chubby and between five feet eight inches and five feet nine inches tall.

Police said the man was wearing prescription glasses and dark clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
