Man, 2 teenage boys charged with 2nd-degree murder in shooting death of 16-year-old

Two teenage boys and an 18-year-old man have been charged with second-degree murder in the killing of a 16-year-old boy who died from a gunshot wound in Winnipeg earlier this month.

Two teenage boys and an 18-year-old man have been charged with second-degree murder in the killing of a 16-year-old boy who died from a gunshot wound in Winnipeg earlier this month.

Winnipeg police found the teenager with life-threatening injuries while responding to a gun call on Boyd Avenue near Andrews Street just after 6 a.m. on Oct. 5. 

The teenager was taken to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, police said in an earlier news release. 

Two 15-year-old boys from Winnipeg were arrested for second-degree murder last week on Dufferin Avenue, near Aikins Street, in connection with the homicide, police said in a news release Wednesday.

On Monday, police arrested Devin Allan Joseph Evans, 18, near Elgin Avenue and Isabel Street. He has been charged with second-degree murder. 

The three suspects remain in custody, police said.
