A fire at a family home in the Interlake region is being investigated as arson, RCMP say.
Manitoba RCMP say it happened in the Rural Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton, north of Gimli, around 4:30 Tuesday morning, according to an email statement.
The house was near the community of Hnausa.
CBC News obtained photos from the family's trail cam, which captures a person in two photos.
One shows a person outside the home's attached garage before the blaze is visible.
A second picture shows a person leaving the driveway with flames behind them.
The family did not want to be interviewed but told CBC two people were asleep inside when the fire started and woke up when they heard crackling. Both got out safely.
Mounties say they continue to investigate.
