To be exact, Winnipeg has waited 18 years, 11 months and 21 days to watch an NHL playoff game at home. But that wait comes to an end tonight, as the Jets get set to take on Anaheim's Ducks at the MTS centre.
In celebration, CBC Manitoba hosted a breakfast with a live broadcast of Information Radio with Marcy Markusa. There were free pancakes, Jets greats from years past, super fans and fabulous prizes, including official Jets "whiteout" T-shirts.
In addition to pancakes, there was a duck roast.
Let's see if the Jets can do the same tonight.
