How to vote on election day in Manitoba
Voting hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Manitoba polling stations
The campaign is now officially over and it's time to vote in the 41st provincial general election in Manitoba.
Voting hours today start at 7 a.m. and run until 8 p.m.
Under the Elections Act, employers are legally obligated to provide eligible voters three consecutive hours off to vote today.
To find out where to vote check your enumeration record, use Elections Manitoba's online search tool or call Elections Manitoba at 204-945-3225.
According to Elections Manitoba, if you are on the voters list, no identification is required to vote today.
If you are not on the voters list, bring in a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's licence or passport.
If you do not have a government-issued photo ID, bring in two documents with your name on them such as a Manitoba Health card, treaty card or utility bill. You will have to take an oath confirming your identity, says Elections Manitoba.
After confirming your identity, an elections worker will hand you a ballot.
Mark an "x" beside the candidate of your choice then place your folded ballot in the box.
